She has an M.Sc. degree in Engineering Physics from Lund University, Sweden, is a Qualified Patent Information Professional (QPIP) and, is a registered US patent agent. Andrea has over 20 yrs of experience, including work at a leading spinal medical device corporation. She is also the co-founder of the Patent Olympiad, an international patent searching competition. Andrea is actively involved in the Patent Information Users Group (PIUG) and the QPIP certification efforts. Database providers seek her to develop the next generation of tools and analytics with an eye towards accuracy and efficiency. Andrea is a frequent presenter of patent searching techniques at various conferences and training events.
